Race Passage

Every year there are those who would love to race down the Bay in the GCBSR, but do not know the owner of an appropriate boat. The following are commercial vessels that have, or typically do, register for the race. If you are interested in joining them you are welcome to contact them directly to see if they have a berth available and at what price. Also, some vessels may offer additional cruising opportunities, as well as day sails in either Baltimore or Norfolk. Contact the vessels directly to learn more. (Please note that GCBSR and its organizers make no claim about the suitability, safety, or anything else about these vessels. We are merely providing a link to allow you to contact these vessels.)

Day Sails

In 2025, the GCBSR race backs up to the Fells Point Fun Festival, Oct. 10-12, and many of the below vessels will be taking out passengers for sailing trips from the docks at Fells Point. Check out the vessel webpages to order tickets online as they will not be available for sale on the dock.

Charter Vessels

Looking to crew?

On rare occasions a private vessel that is registered for the race winds up looking for crew (usually at the last moment). If you are interested in throwing your hat in the ring, fill out this form with your contact information and a brief description of your experience and what you can offer the boat looking for crew. Your information will get added to the list and sent to any registered vessel that is looking for crew.
